M U S I C    L E S S O N S

I am currently available to teach Beginning-Advanced Trumpet, and Beginning-Intermediate Clarinet, Flute, and Saxophone.

I have been teaching trumpet as an amateur to friends, family, and students, for almost 10 years; professionally for one year. My abilities as a high quality trumpet player have been recognized by my teachers in my early years, and  I am now known for my unique warm tone quality, detailed musicianship, soloist and chamber abilities, and professionalism. I've had the opportunity to perform in acclaimed ensembles in some of the most well known venues in the country and around the world, including the
Honors Performance Series’ Orchestra and Wind Ensemble at Carnegie Hall, the Las Vegas Youth Philharmonic Orchestra at the Las Vegas Smith Center and in China, as well as the World Adult Wind Orchestra Project in mountainous Schladming, Austria.

During my time at UMBC, I performed with the UMBC Jazz Band, Wind Ensemble, Symphony Orchestra, and numerous honorably recognized brass chamber groups. I also had the opportunity to perform alongside a number of highly recognized chamber groups  and musicians such as: the Canadian Brass, the American Brass Quintet, Brad Ellis, Oystein Baadsvik, Joe Burgstaller, Hiram Diaz and other members of “The President’s Own” U.S. Marine Band. Bentley was also a part of the recording ensemble for the upcoming album being released by the UMBC Wind Ensemble, which will feature newly premiered pieces such as “Chiaroscuro II” by Anna Rubin and “McGuffy’s Reeder” by Brad Ellis. I also had the privilege of premiering multiple works composed for both trumpet and brass ensemble, including pieces by Kathryn Blake and Zachariah Thomas. Along with conducting various musical theater pit orchestras, I have also performed and subbed in many pit orchestras for shows such as Assassins, The Wiz, Anything Goes, and more. I studied trumpet for 5 years  under the teachings of Professor Wayne Cameron.

Private Lessons

I take a very individualized approach when it comes to teaching beginning and intermediate  musicians.
